If you are still wanting a custom rig, I build solid machines using quality parts in my spare time. My opinion would to build a Core 2 Duo Machine with a raid 5 and 4 gig ram. You could build 2 C2D rigs for the cost of a DX rig, and those Conroe chips are monsters!
