We have a good network in place.   A combination of 100mb wired and 54mbps wireless.   We have a raid Buffalog TerraStation RAID ethernet backup system in place and automated backup software that copies the personal data from each connected machine to this central location daily.

I am not interested in copying gigabytes of imagery around our network on a regular basis.   And I'm absolutely not interested in imagery processing software access that operates on files stored across a conventional LAN.

 I would like to learn more about SAN's, but I suspect that they are not affodable for our situation.
