I'm just shooting from memory, but add a hundred miles to that, I had it in mind that it was about 130 miles, but the antenna (custom built) was huge--made from an old satalite dish and shooting from somewhere around Vegas, to Utah Hill in Utah.
I think one could get 40 miles fairly easy (conditions permitting of course) with stock, off-the-shelf equipment (but I don't mean off of Staples' shelves).
What is the range of a Wireless Router?
