We are bridging about 300 ft with a couple of 802.11B access points. There are people on this site who are going up to aroudn ten miles. As long as you can get a line of site range it not really a problem.

Our equipment is standard Linksys stuff from Best Buy with external antennas bought off the internet somewhere.
