| There are genetics that make poor brood cows and there are genetics that will improve a cow herd every generation. What will your cows weigh in the fall after weaning? What will they weigh when in BCS 4-5. You shouldn't have to feed your cows like you were finishing a steer or to get your heifers to cycle for that matter. I quit the bull of the month club because the females often lacked capacity and depth of rib. The only purpose of a cow is to turn forage into protein, some are quite good at it and some aren't, some are bred to be pigs dressed up in cow suits. | |
