Wisconsin | Propane is liquid at atmospheric pressure at -40 degrees, 300 psi would be over 120 degrees. At 100 degrees F propane would be liquid at a little over 150psi. I don't believe oxygen will ever be liquid at ordinary temperatures, it has to be almost -200F to be liquid regardless of pressure. You can check the volume of gas in a compressed gas cylinder based on the pressure (assuming it's relatively stable temp). That doesn't work for a liquid, propane gauges measure the actual liquid level just like a gas tank gauge, as the pressure will be whatever temperature the tank is as long as there is any liquid present and will only drop when there is only gas/vapor left. | |
