I'm with you. I tend to think in favor of a headstone on graves/plots with complete date of birth and death and NOT just a year like we see on many modern-day markers. It makes doing family research much easier when there repeat names in a family. My grandad back in the 70s bought markers out of his own pocket moneys for his unmarked mothers and foster parents grave to complete the family location marking. He was in his 70's when he did it and I'm pretty sure his concern was family would not have the knowledge of grave locations once he was no longer here to tell of the location to his kids and grandkids and anyone wondering about their ancestors..
