Anything other than a Dietrich style shank (basically an anhydrous shank) or a coulter bar makes more of a mess than I appreciate.
One local custom guy has a coulter bar on 20" spacing. That is a really nice setup. Expensive toolbar but it does a really really nice job. I think its something like 50' wide also, they can really pump poop in a hurry.
