West Texas | Dave - I unfortunately have walked a similar path as you. My wife fought a very aggressive form of cancer. Best advice I can give is ask questions. You say the Dr says the Chemo is nasty has he listed out what the most common side effects are and how long they will last? How often is the treatment and how many rounds? How much longer does it typically give a patient? Are there any studies going on that your wife could be apart of that are easier on the body?
Also, just the two of you need to have a conversation if you want to continue treatments without others around. There is a point where you just can not ask a person to take any more especially if you know they are a Christian. When that decision is made dont look back and second guess especially after they pass, they would not want you to.
Good luck that is a hard road. Email is in profile if you need to talk. My wife has been gone for almost 2 years. | |
