My wife used to cater for weddings. She said go with 1/2 lb per person for the following reason:Rule 1-Do not run out of food!Rule 2-Refer to Rule 1!She also said though you know how much your guests like to eat. She also said as mentioned before how many, if any, parties are the same day and time.
