We did exactly the same thing and figured half a pound. We had plenty left over. A 1/3 probably would have been closer. Also depends on what the majority of your guests will be. Older folks and young girls don't tend to eat much. Young boys/men you are talking a whole different deal. The leftovers are easily used up.
