Subject: RE: Electric motor question

MIDDLE OF IOWA
It warms up running and then trips out overload. I have put amp clamp on the line and it's only pulling 9 amps, trip is set at 14. Sometimes runs for 5 min, sometimes 30+
It's on a corn grinder and I can adjust the load. It's a solid state contactor and overload so I've been told they either work or they don't, they don't get weak. I can adjust the overload to higher amps for the single phase motor I have and it's only a 3hp.
