Mount them on the same tractor and drive and they both travel the same distance in 100 revolutions. Rolling an unloaded tire does not deflect the tire so it is extremely overinflated for the load.

I'd like to believe you, but unfortunately the Firestone tire expert disagrees with you. He said uneven tire wear front to back changes the lead ratio and must be taken into account.

Here's the quote again, with particular reference to the last three lines.

As long as your front tires wear at the same rate as the rear tires, the settings should stay more or less the same.
But be careful when you replace your rear tires, or your front tires, with tires of the same size, because you will have new tires with big lugs whereas the lugs on the other axle are worn or much smaller. In this case you must check the lead ratio, because the settings may no longer be adapted and this could lead to operating problems."
