Rolling circumference on a new tractor tire is way less than pi*od tire. In fact RC/pi is less than od-2×bar height. Interestingly the cord length of the belts in a tire are the sames as the rolling circumference.

Rule 39: There is no such thing as a coincidence.

Hint: contact area of tire to ground is flat, to tangential. A tire us just an air supported belt. If you don't belive me, ask a tire engineer.


Take your illustration, take away some rubber away from the ‘belt’ (add some wear) and the rolling circumference will change.
