Sac & Story county IA | We were on a plane from Omaha to Phoenix that afternoon. Roughest ride I ever had. We could hear engines slowing and speeding. Pilot said he tried several altitudes with no improvement. Seat belt sign was on. Lady got up to run to bathroom. Steward yelled sit down unless and emergency. Lady yelled back, It is an emergency. Stewards kept handing paper towels into bathroom. About 150 others were thinking the same thing. Nebraska public television made a documentary about it. Guys in Chinook helicopters rescuing people off buildings in 80 -90 winds. | |
