Can you keep us posted once you get the unloader up and running, the Spiromax looks interesting.

I thought the same as someone mentioned about the footer foot print vs the height? Do they come core drill the ground before hand before putting up something this tall to determine the foundation size?


I spoke with 3 companies about building my new silo. One company was concerned about soil structure and wanted me to hire a professional engineer to design the footer for them...... They have been building silos for 50 years..... Later, they decided they had enough work to do building cell phone towers (silo) and sawdust silos that they didn't want to dig out the forms for an ag silo.

The other 2 companies simply over-engineer the footer. It is going to take about 90 yards just for the footer on mine. Then 180 more yards in the whole rest of the silo.
