Theres seems to be a push towards meta verse because the compute power is there now. And it appears to be getting exponentially better still as evident by nvidia ceo talk the other day. He was showing how Moore’s law is still in effect. Apple is getting on board with their new headset. And nvidia name dropped them at their talk. Mark Zuckerberg sunk a tremendous amount of money on it. Over 20 billion a year it looks like. 20 billlllllllion. . And still going. Like the whole generative ai was first words. Then pictures. Then videos. Then virtual realities is next. I mean there’s theories out there about our own universe just being one massive simulation. (The speed of light being the bottleneck speed of the simulation)
And ar and vr are different but similar things. Google glass was a good concept but the tech just isn’t quite there still for portable small ar tech.
But eventuallllllly they’ll put a chip in your brain that can simulate all of it
