They charged her a $2,800 new account fee and added that to the principal of the loan. Her $12k car was now $15k.
Anyone ever heard of this type of predatory lending before? Think I’ll be able to get anywhere with the bank? Any ideas on a course of action I could take if (when) the bank tells me they can’t do anything about it?
Are you sure about the new account fee? Because no one has ever heard of it.
I doubt you will get anywhere with the bank due to your name not being on the loan you want to talk about.
Call the bank with your aunt on the phone as well. Or just look at the purchase agreement for the vehicle.
I'm guessing you have your wires crossed somewhere as to what you think happened in this situation. Maybe next time get the details straight before posting.
