Subject: Satiety matters - insulin matters

Pittsburg, Kansas
I think, based on the comments under some of the carnivore videos, your experience is not unusual.

Satiety is one key to losing fat weight. Meat with fat has a very high satiety. Processed foods made of grains and seed oils make a person hungry a few hours later as the blood sugar drops as a result of the insulin spike caused by the carbohydrates.

Hard to ignore hunger signals for the long term success.

Wife says the three different times she did Weight Watchers with her girlfriends, she was always starving hungry. Lose a few pounds then gain it back plus when hunger eventually won. When her and I went low carb she always has eaten all she wants. Never goes hungry. The difference is satiety. What she eats more than how much she eats makes her satisfied and not wanting to snack all day long.

Animal meat food, especially in absence of carbs, provides satiety.

Meat protein is the body's building blocks (multiple amino acids). Fat provides the energy source to replace the carbs. The liver can produce any glucose we need from fat, either eaten fat or fat stored on the body. Insulin levels HAVE to be low to utilize stored body fat.

What raises insulin the most? Carbs. Not protein combined with the natural fat in meat, like nature provides it.
