And I've seen some lousy wet springs where it didn't matter how much monies were spent on the corn, the corn was murdered early and it was the soybean crop that came through in the end and salvaged a decent cash flow. Also have seen scenarios like 2003 where the corn crop was solid and beans petered out in the finish. YMMV, but I don't pretend to know what reasons guys 400 miles away with different soils and climate patterns might be doing things for. |
