Faulty comparison. CONAB has zero interaction with US ag data. The USDA has a presence though the attaché out of the embassy in Brazil. USDA also has a much more robust data collection system with regard to worldwide exports which provides one of the best back checks to production. Production is only one piece of the puzzle.
Yal.. that's why the WASDE finally updated Chinese imports for the last 3 years.
