Don't try to lower the river- raise the bridge. The eye naturally goes to the bigger ones-- I had to look very closely at your last pic to even see what's missing.

1. If you find someone with a lathe, they could make four alike but simplified without the (I guess) hand-carved doodads.

2. Remove the one opposite or all three.
