Richland Center, Wi | Our parish recently was gifted a reredos (a special, ornate backpiece on what is commonly called a high altar in a Catholic Church).
There is one finial missing. It is made of wood. The reredos was made in about 1920 or so. My question is: Where can we find one? Are these hand carved? Or was there a machine available at that time to make them. These were gold leafed.
I have included pictures of the front, top and back view. Any help is appreciated. I have also included a picture of the entire unit. It breaks down into 3 separate pieces. It is about 9 feet wide and about 8 feet high.
