35 year old unit. Know it's just a matter of time before replacement. 2000 Sq ft ranch house. What are the options for replacement? I m not sure where to even begin.
The “new refrigerant” is propane. Yes, Propane. Even though it is flammable it has a zero for ozone depletion and global warming (if it’s not burned I guess). It’s classified as R-290.
There is commercial equipment shipping with it already. It should be a lot cheaper than anything currently on the market.
