We dairy and raise up our steers to sell as finished fats. Some freezer beef. We raise all our own feed.

If we can sell our beef cross dairy calves for $600+ is it worth the risk to take the calf all the way to finish?

Dad says taking them to finish makes the corn worth more. I say sell and take a guaranteed profit before you've invested anything into it, and you can still sell the corn.

Currently I'm letting Dad do what he wants, but curious if others are thinking like I am.
