Southern, MN | Define long term? Imo a sp500 index has about the best roi and I have been heavily in them for last 10-15 years. Trump years where great! 22-26% increase in value over them years. Been some dismal years too -9 or so. If broken out by qtr there was qtrs in 2008 and 2020 with a 30-40% decrease in value. I am buy and hold strategy because I am 40. Overall though I don’t think I am up 12% but for past 10 years very close. | |
