I worked for a dairy farm that was feeding pizza dough years ago that had some stainless steel wire in it and they lost a few cows before they figured out what was causing it. I also heard from our vet that there were others with the same issue, not sure if they are related or not or if they were all feeding the same products or not. This was 20 years or so ago.
