Wisconsin | $105/ton dry matter, but you wouldn't buy corn or hay at 0% moisture either, so that seems like cheap calories. A lot of starch and not much else, so you'll have to watch your protein from other sources. Cows can choke on potatoes until they're used to them, or the ones die that are prone to choking? but it sounds like this is all processed. I'd think the hardware would be rare, they go to pretty great lengths to keep that unlikely. | |
