Pretty obvious around here, the last 25 years. Family dairy operations are too much labor for the profit available to that size operation, whenever the current generation retires from it 90% chance it’s no longer a dairy farm.

Need to be large scale with under the table labor costs, big enough to manage that large number of livestock and the cheap labor force issues.
