Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan

What crop did you have planted in these fields last year?

If it was my farm... and corn stalks were disced last year, and all I was going to do this spring for tillage was use a roller.... there certainly wouldn't be any wind erosion.  The rolling might cause a little more water erosion.  But I don't think the rolling would increase the possibility of water erosion all that much.... at least not on my farm.   But maybe on a farm with more slope than mine, the risk could be more pronounced with the rolling.

With many of questions and considerations offered by us on this website.... so much is influenced by our different soils.  Different climates.  Different past practices.  So often we could be saying.... "It all depends."
