Leesburg, Ohio | Why won't 900 work?
Has worked here continuously since 2009.
Our 900 base covers our entire operation except for two locations.
One is about 9 miles away, on the other side of a ridge. The other is two miles away in a bottom surrounded by woods.
Even at those locations, it works good enough that the rtkx keeps things functional.
Our base antenna is on a 120' leg, so that helps some I suppose.
If we need to improve the signal at the farm 9 miles away, all we need is a radio in repeater mode at that farm, problem solved.
That said, a 450 radio should work even with the tree issue. That is what we have just upgraded to.
The plotted range on our new 450 system is about 20-30 miles, depending on direction and obstacles. | |
