Northern Indiana		900mhz won't work, so don't bother, I tried

Similar situation with my personal 450mhz base on distance.
I'm a little higher up with the antenna, more like 55ft.

Have 8db omni antenna direct connected to radio so no coax loss
No amplifier

Roecomm can do a signal propagation map for you and the FCC licensing for the 450 frequency
