SE Arkansas | My guess is that the best ground down here came in about 100 lbs short. Been like that about 3 years in a row. Want to blame it on the heat, but we had tremendous Soybean Yields last year. 100 degree temps usually hurt irrigated Soybean Yields more than Cotton, but not last year. Hard to figure out Mother Nature. There were also some major variety failures, but I am not going to mention names. These Variety Variances can also be regional. Best Harvest Weather ever, but River Basis was tough during harvest with the low water levels. | |
