SE Arkansas | The Brazilian Farmers haven’t sold much either. This does not look promising. China is reducing their Hog Population, so a spike in demand is unlikely. Looks like Brazil’s crop is going to be marked down some more and possibly Argentina’s also. The World Carryout might very well be the same as the last two years. But with high interest rates and flat demand, prices can trade much lower than the last two years, even with the same carryout. Market is oversold and specs are very short, so we could see a bounce here, but I don’t think it will last very long. | |
