Friends yard was same,,I suggested 3/4 crushed granite,,he was concerned about plow off in the winter.He finally relented and had several loads brought in .He spread it and vehicles worked it in and over the last 2 seasons his drive is a dream.Amazing really.It should be crushed as the angular faces help a lot.
