Southeast Colorado | Funny you should ask. In 2019 there was an 8 part documentary on the History Channel and he was one of the 5 farmers it focuses on. It just so happens that are very own Matt Griggs (agtalk robmgrig) was also on there. I really enjoyed the show...........and hoped it would get another season, but alas it didn't.
Anyway.............Boyd was making a futile attempt to grow soybeans on the episodes. It appeared to be the silliest farm of the 5 groups they focused on. It was after that when several of us here realized just who John Boyd was..........and how he'd figured out there was much more money to be earned by being an oppressed Black Farmer........than just being a quality farmer. | |
