We get by with no screen in our hammer mill and run half speed like others said. You'll get a few whole kernels but good enough. We also have an Artsway Cattlemax with a rollermill. I've never gotten it to mash the corn big enough to suit me and I have the rolls as wide as I can get them. It's more like ground feed coming out of it. If anyone has any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong with the Artsway, I'm all ears.
Wild guess, but have you tried lowering the PTO speed? |
