I have electric on t-posts here. Plenty of deer pressure and the occasional branch on the wire.
I have a bigger stafix charger that can handle a wire or two hitting a post and still have enough zap neither the cows or I want to touch the fence.
Mabey a bigger charger would reduce your frustations.
