Really muddy in the field, no frost. Feeding bales in the field, do I go ahead and lock them up in the lot or leave field open to graze. Hate to make them spend February and March locked up but this is like March weather with no freezing weather in sight. Stalks are basically just keeping them occupied at this point.
Would you rather haul lots of manure in a couple months or do a lot of tillage and plant into clods and pray for rain? Pick the best of the bad options.
