I've been buying most of my hay at the Fennimore, WI auction this year. So far supply and demand seem fairly balanced. Good alfalfa goes over $200/ton easily, as does nice grassy hay in large squares or rounds. Tougher stuff will sometimes have trouble getting a bid, I've picked up a fair bit of wrapped and CRP hay for less than $100/ton.
