Nobody should get into cover crops to try to boost yields.

Why rye? You would choose cover crop species For a goal. Rye is not a miracle cover crop,

There's a big difference between his soil after forty years and our soil just beginning. His results Are what most of us are striving for.


His fertility levels for not seeing a nickel of commercial fertilizer for decades was amazing.

He showed a soil test from one field that you could easily grow 200 bushel corn and apply nothing to that field. How do you think that would cash flow?

Wouldn't you be looking at a dollars in versus a dollars out scenario
not yield?


Cover crops can fix compaction that can increase water Infiltration,They can absolutely add fertility to the soil

If we look at how soil functions, Covers can Help fix a lot of Problems that we have. Like Needing a grid pattern tile, a lot of the chemicals that we use, and even aggressive tillage.
