North Central Iowa | The resume switch is designed by Ag Leader to only engage/run after the person lets up on the momentary switch. So if you hold the button down, it will only activate once you release it.
As for the switch, like others I went and made my own. Was not happy with the giant foot switch on the floor which would move around causing my foot to do the 2 step dance trying to find it. So I put a momentary switch in a small plastic tube made for for lip balm (cost like 50 cents each) and then wired it to my SmartSteer system. I put an inline connector in as well so that each tractor has it's own resume switch so I don't have to move that each time I move Steady Steer module.
The switch is mounted to the hydraulic handle so that way I can resume steering while using the hydraulic handle. Attached an image of what my switch looks like.
Of course I might not need these now as I'm fairly certain we're going to move up to Ag Leader's TurnPath.
