Heterosis is just the masking of bad alleles. So if you are using said bull on stuff that is not related to him, and he appears to have the qualities you want the progeny should show some heterosis over the average of parents(in general). In corn breeding you cross two unrelated inbreds, it really doesn’t matter if a parent is an inbred as long as they breed or produce as they are expected to.
