Alpena MI | I watched our closest Livestock auction online for a bit yesterday and was reminded of the thread awhile back that a few guys questioned me on sending fats to the sale barn. I don’t know what the top was yesterday but in the 20 or so head I watched sell, the top was 1.77. The difference in price from an animal that had fat rippling and one that was just getting a good start on its brisket was about.20. I was so sick yesterday I forgot it was Wednesday until they were almost done selling feeders, then right after I logged in I made a mistake and stopped bidding on a group of 7 black heifers weighing 832. I only ran them to 1.20 then was kicking myself for not pushing them harder. Guess my brain just wasn’t hardly working. | |
