Is there a way to change default year to 2023 for data entry in Excel?

Under the "Format" tab choose "cells" then choose "date" and it gives you all of the date options.    One of which is just month and day.  Exp 1/16

I don't think there is a way to set the default year to anything other than the current year.       That's one good reason to try to get most of the book work done prior to the end of the year.
