Hanby Mill, AL | Thread below asking about RTK vs “whiskers” for side dressing N got me to thinking about the same. I currently plant with SF1 with 6000 receiver and 4640 monitor. Then spray and Y drop with Trimble FM750 wass.
What would be the least expensive route for me to go to improve accuracy using both JD and Trimble? I have access to a Trimble RTK antenna/receiver from a tile plow that I could use most of the time. If I like it l would buy my own.
Is it practical to plant with JD SF3 subscription then spray with Trimble? I’ve been operating WASS for a couple years now and ready to upgrade accuracy.
Precision guidance is still new to me so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
