Looking to buy calves around 500 lbs and sell around 8-900 lbs. Located in central Iowa and was wondering what I can look to make per head. I can get around 100 head. Will it be a problem to only feed with a skidloader instead of feed wagon?

Son, you need to start reading the responses folks tell you and then put some simple $$ math into a revenue vs cost budget. That tells YOU what YOU will make.

You are either going to custom feed for relation or feed yourself. It doesn’t sound like you have any cattle feeding experience…. Which is why I am going to come across as a butt and tell you to work for someone else UNTIL you are ready with your OWN NUMBERS.

As to whether you can feed 100 head with a skidsteer, I’m going to say “yes” because many old timers on here fed 500 head with only 5-gallon buckets and a pitchfork.
