Subject: RE: Most trouble free skid steer?

NW IA
I have a 2 year old SSV65 Kubota, 64 HP, pilot controls. Very pleased so far but I don't have enough hours on it to say long term how it will go. I wonder if the dpf will be the first thing to cause trouble, but so far the re-gens have not been an issue.

The Kubota powered S185 Bobcat I had before was seemingly bulletproof. I switched to the Kubota because the reviews were positive and the door looked like it would fit my use, it stays open 90% of the time, lots of going through gates etc. The winter before I got the Kubota I had the door on the Bobcat for only one stormy cold day.

The fuel tank in the rear door on the Kubota makes the engine compartment a bit less crowded and a full tank is bonus rear weight that is not included in the capacity rating..

The SSV 65 is fine for my use, but take an honest look at your future needs and be open to looking at a size bigger whatever brand you choose. Mine handles 2000 lb. pallets and large round bales well, but you have to be careful.

A nearby dealer with good service has been mentioned, I'll just say +1 to that.
