it should be timed, as i said i cannot remember for sure but you should get about 18 minutes out of it. when you reconnect to rtk it will start the timer over. i cant be sure but doubt one of the 3000's would out perform another if they are both operating properly. A better antenna may help it perform better but thats not guaranteed.
15 minutes on a SF3000. Then it will fall back to SF2 for 14 days, which is still not a bad signal but it does drift with time so you'll want to extend a row marker before you leave the field for the night.
The other down side of SF2 Fallback is if you drive under trees and lose the signal, it may not regain the SF2. You'll be stuck at SF1 at that point. That won't happen to RTK-X on a 6000 because it's using the SF3 signal to hold it's RTK calculation. That's why you can even unplug the receiver and it will still work the next day.
If you can financially swing a used SF6000, that would probably be your 2nd best option if a taller antenna doesn't work.
