| Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m glad to see that I’m not crazy in thinking it should probably be sold. The rent we are getting I feel will barely maintain the property. And currently it is a very nice older, updated home. Long term, we will never have another pastor living in it. And with how I’m reading church finance I’m not sure sale/rent proceeds can be used for non-RE expenses.
Sadly, the congregation is constantly shrinking, like many in small communities. | |
